1) It is Lightweight and Portable
Traveling light is a challenge when you have a baby in tow. Good thing, the Baby Jogger City Tour 2 is one less baggage to think about. It is lightweight at 14 lbs and has a folded size of 17 x 7 x 21.6 inches that is small enough to fit inside airplane overhead compartments. It comes with its own backpack-style carry bag which frees both of your hands.
I only wish it had an attached shoulder strap but what’s good about the bag is it equally distributes the weight on your shoulders and back. It somehow makes it easier to carry around especially when you’re exploring the city for long hours. Although the Baby Jogger City Tour 2 is not as light and small as other strollers like the GB Pockit Plus or the Babyzen Yoyo Plus this stroller promises to be a reliable, small and sturdy companion for traveling.

2) It Has One of the Easiest Folds
I am a fan of one-handed folds especially when traveling and the Baby Jogger City Tour 2 passed my test with flying colors. To fold the City Tour 2, just press the grey button at the handlebar, push the backrest forward and lift the handle located in the middle of the seat and the backrest. It’s amazingly easy to do.
3) It can be Used from Birth until Toddlerhood
You don’t have to suffer by bringing a bulky travel system stroller along with your newborn. This lightweight, travel-system ready stroller can be paired with a Tour 2 bassinet and infant car seats such as Baby Jogger City Go and Graco Click Connect.
The Tour 2 bassinet can be used until your baby is about 19 lbs or 9 months in child age. However, I doubt if your baby would like to wait that long inside the bassinet. Come 6 months, your curious baby can enjoy the stroller without the bassinet. With a weight capacity of 45 lbs, the Baby Jogger City Tour 2 stroller can be used until your child is about 4-5 years old. This stroller could be the only stroller you would ever need.
4) It is Comfortable for Your Baby
Unlike its older version, the Baby Jogger City Tour 2 has a spacious and breathable seat that is adequately padded for long hours of sitting. The back rest can be lowered to 145 degrees. This feature will help support your baby’s head and back while he or she is asleep. It also has a built-in and adjustable leg rest that will further make sleeping a comfortable experience for your baby.
The Baby Jogger City Tour 2 has a pretty decent canopy that gives ample coverage from the sun. Lightweight strollers usually only have 2 panels, this one has three panels and a tuck-away sunvisor. It is made out of UPF 50+ (Ultra Protection Factor) fabric that protects your baby from the sun’s harmful UV rays. What I love about it is its large, mesh peek-a-boo window at the top of the canopy which is very similar to that of the UppaBaby Minu.
5) It is Safe to Use
Made out of strong aluminum frames, this stroller is light but strong enough to carry your child as he or she grows. It has a 5-point safety harness with a center lock and release button that will keep your child from falling off the stroller. Its one-step parking brake is easy to lock and unlock by foot.
A belly bar can be separately purchased on Amazon if you feel more secure having one.
6) It Drives Well

|Wheel Size (in) ||5 front, 5.9 rear|
The Baby Jogger City Tour 2 has 5-inch swivel wheels at the front and 5.9-inch wheels at the back. The swivel wheels are equipped with suspensions to lessen the vibrations when you stroll over cobblestone streets. You may also manually lock the front wheels for a steadier ride. I can’t say that this is the best in terms of maneuverability like the Babyzen Yoyo Plus, but the Baby Jogger City Tour 2 performs fairly on both smooth and slightly bumpy surfaces.
The Baby Jogger City Tour 2 has a handlebar that is easy to steer and has a height of about 38-39 inches from the ground. Its handle bar makes one-handed pushing doable. You may also oft to buy this stroller organizer to free your hands. It has a slot to hold your cup and other items.
7) It is Reasonably Priced
Its price ranges from $230 – $240 in Amazon depending on the design. It comes in three stylish colours – Jet (Black), Seacrest (deep blue) and Slate (light grey). The Tour 2 bassinet will cost you around a $100 to $120 and the Baby Jogger City Go infant car seat is around $200 to $230.
