You see the Babyzen Yoyo Plus in airports, malls, parks and practically everywhere where there are babies and tots. Being the first to stroller to be accepted as a carry-on luggage in most airlines, the Babyzen Yoyo Plus continues to be a hot choice among parents as of this writing. And, if you are shopping around for your baby’s stroller, this is one product that you might want to seriously consider.

The Main Highlights of the Product is the FOLD AND ITS SIZE.

One of the main reasons why parents and caregivers are enticed about the Babyzen Yoyo Plus is its almost one-hand fold. Although it starts by using your two hands to press the buttons located at the sides of the frame. The rest of the folding procedure can be done with just one hand. Its snappy fold is a convenient feature especially when you’re all by yourself with your little one.

Watch how it’s done.

Unfolding is easier, just pull the handle bar up and that’s it. Unfold it like a yoyo!

The Measurements

It is not the smallest folded stroller in the market but this stroller is small enough to be carried around without breaking your back and as I said, it easily fits inside the airplane’s overhead bin.

Anatomy of the Babyzen Yoyo Plus

The Wheels

Babyzen Yoyo Plus boasts of its Soft Drive System, which allows easy steering and stability without the need to lock the front swivel wheels. Neat! This model is also equipped with a 4-wheel suspension that enables it to glide very smoothly on uneven pavements and absorb impacts and vibrations when navigating on grass and cobblestones. The 5-inch hard rubber wheels sometimes get caught up in surface cracks though and could be a little annoying.

The Brake

As for the brake, it is a standard, no-fuss, push pedal design that you can easily lock and unlock by foot.

The Frame

The Babyzen Yoyo Plus’ frame is made from aluminum, stainless steel and high-performance technical plastics so it is guaranteed to be light but strong.

The Seat

It is well-padded and roomy enough to sit a big toddler.  The height from the seat to the canopy is 26 inches.

By adjusting the strap at the back, the seat can do a 145-degree recline. It does not go totally flat but the recline is deep enough for your little one to rest his head and back comfortably while napping. It has no built-in leg rest but it has a narrow foot rest. If you wish to install a leg rest, check out Babyzen Yoyo Plus Leg Rest on Amazon.

The Harness

The 5-point harness makes sure that your child is secure. It has a center buckle that releases all straps when pressed. Though a child may find it difficult to unbuckle it by himself, I wish there was a bumper bar at the front for added protection. Good thing it can be bought as an additional accessory.

Canopy

The canopy is made out of UPF 50+ material. It has two panels and a pop out sunvisor. The size of the canopy is ok but may be inadequate on really hot days. You may want to order a Babyzen Parasol to give your baby some more shade. There is also a small peek-a-boo window on top of the canopy while the back end can be lifted to allow more air to pass through.

A Babyzen rain cover comes free when you purchase a Babyzen Yoyo Plus Stroller. You may also want to add another layer of protection against insects and other elements, with Babyzen Yoyo Plus Insect Shield

Handle

The non-adjustable handle bar is positioned high at 42-inches from the ground. Tall people will find this a joy to drive because the handle won’t force them to slouch.

Other Must-have Yoyo Plus Accessories:

The Yoyo Plus board will allow your older child to hitch the ride. It can carry a weight of up to 44 lbs. It also has a  removable saddle that your child can sit on while on board.

A Yoyo Footmuff is a must-have accessory to keep your child safe and warm during colder seasons.

The Rolling Bag that comes with a small rolling base will relieve you from carrying heavy loads while you leisurely stroll. Just place your items inside the bag, hook the bag onto the back of the stroller and let it sit on the rolling base. It can carry up to 22 lbs.

A Babyzen Cup Holder would also be a good addition to hold baby’s feeding bottle or any bottle of liquid.

Price

Price is almost $500 for the stroller. If you want to purchase the bundle, which includes the stroller and the bassinet, it would be around $720 – $740. Price also varies depending on colors. The Babyzen Yoyo Plus comes in different shades: Air France, Black, Blue, Grey, Pink, Red, Taupe, Ginger and Peppermint.

Check out color variations and package inclusions here.

Warranty

The Babyzen Yoyo Plus has a a 2- year warranty that starts from its purchase date. But, only the registered original owners of the product will have warranty claim.

Conclusion

The Babyzen Yoyo Plus is one of the reasons why I have stroller envy. LOL. It is one of my favorite strollers, next to the Uppababy Minu. It aced all my stroller requirements – portability, durability and comfort. There’s nothing to hate about it except the price. But, if you can afford it, I’m sure you won’t regret buying it.
